As to why only 1 out of 10 of the same computers had this problem, I have no idea. So I did Method 1, moved everything back to Program Files (x86) and it was all working like it should. I talked to my friends about this and one of them said it sounds like a permissions problem and that I should change the permission for Users. I moved OBS to the desktop and it worked! It would now Capture games like it should. So I move it to the desktop and it worked! It could now create save files with no problem. This got me thinking, I've dealt with this before when I had Windows 8 and the only work around I knew was to move the file somewhere else. When she saved it just didn't create a save file. A month later my friend was playing a game and it wouldn't save. After trying everything to fix it we searched to see if anyone else has had this problem and it turns out a LOT of people have had this problem and no one has found a real fix. It's Game Capture would just show a black screen. We then tested on all the others and they all had no problems except 1. We tested OBS on 1 of them and it worked perfect. When me and my friends started streaming we all bought the same windows 10 computer thinking that they would all have the same problems and fixes to them if any. Method 2:(the work around) Move OBS (and possibly the game you are trying to capture) from Program Files (x86) to your desktop. Method 1:(Best method) Open File Explorer - This PC - Right click on C: Drive and click properties - security - Edit - select Users - check the box that says Full control and modify - apply and done! The problem being windows and it's permissions. ![]() TL DR I found 2 methods that seem to work(or at least in my case), both working around the same problem.
